Dulce Somnium (Lemon Verbena)

THE STORY : ARHUMATIC Dulce Somnium is a digestif. Verbena is known for its multiple virtues – soothing, digestive, sedative, calming. This cocktail of good effects lends itself perfectly to the making of a spirit. Lemon verbena gives off surprising notes, unexpected and often unknown to the taste buds – simply astonishing. That is why it joins Arhumatic mint in the AromatIcs range.

THE FRUIT : Lemon verbena is an aromatic herb with a delicate fragrance which is delicious, smooth and reviving. Discovered in Peru and Chile, it was often confused with verbena officinalis. however, the fragrance doesn’t compare. The leaf of lemon verbena reveals a fresh and sharp fragrance which perfectly lends itself to the making of a spirit.

SEASONALITY : ARHUMATIC Dulce Somnium is available from the end of June until Autumn, the harvest of lemon verbena is very seasonal. Available until stocks are exhausted.

Tasting
	The long, thin leaves of Lemon verbena tangle in the bottle. The colour of this maceration is almost medicinal and takes on a coppery tint over time..
	The first thing noticed is the almost peppery aroma of the plant.
	On tasting, the alchemy between the lemon verbena and the rum unveils complex aromas. In the mouth, the herby aromas of the verbena are strikingly followed by the peppery notes of liquorish. A real digestif!!!
